What this site does with your data

Close to nothing. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to accept, and this page says exactly what that means rather than leaving you to guess.

Who is responsible

The controller is SIA "Green Wire Media", Rūpniecības iela 8A, Cēsis, LV-4101, Latvia. Full company details are on the imprint. Anything on this page, including a request to delete something, goes to [email protected], or to the company's own address, [email protected], which reaches us directly.

What your browser loads

Only files from skibagrules.com. The typefaces are served from this site rather than from a font network, there is no advertising, no embedded video, no social button and no tracking script, so no request leaves for another company while you read. The links to airline websites and to transferbnb.com are ordinary links: nothing is fetched from those sites until you choose to follow one.

Nothing is kept on your device either. The site sets no cookie and writes nothing to local or session storage. Closing the tab leaves no trace of the visit in your browser beyond its own history.

What the host records

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare writes a request log when your browser asks for a page: the IP address, the time, the address requested and the browser type. Cloudflare, Inc. does this for us as our processor, to deliver the pages and to keep the site up. Where those requests are handled in the United States the transfer rests on Cloudflare's standard contractual clauses. We do not join these logs to anything else and we cannot work out who you are from them.

The search box

The box on the home page is the only form on the site, and what you type in it stays in your browser. Your browser downloads one file from this site, the search index, and matches your words against it on your own machine. Nothing is sent to us keystroke by keystroke and nothing is recorded.

If you press the button with JavaScript switched off, your words travel to our own compare page as part of the address, where the host log picks them up the same way it picks up any other page request. That is the only route by which a search reaches a server, and it is our server.

Email you send us

If you write to us about a wrong fee or a policy that has moved, we use your address and your message to reply and to fix the row, and for nothing else. Your name is never published beside a correction. We keep correction mail for up to 24 months so we can trace why a value changed, then delete it. Ask us to delete yours sooner and we will.

Legal basis

Serving the pages, keeping the host's request log and answering your mail all rest on our legitimate interests under article 6(1)(f) GDPR: running a site that works, keeping it secure, and keeping the record accurate. Consent does not come into it, because nothing is stored on your device and nothing is tracked.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you may ask what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, limit how it is used, ask for a copy, or object to our use of it. In practice the only thing we are likely to hold is an email you sent us. Write to [email protected] or [email protected] and we will answer.

You may also complain to the Latvian supervisory authority, the Data State Inspectorate (Datu valsts inspekcija), at dvi.gov.lv, or to the authority where you live.
