Also reported to fly here in winter, not confirmed

Condor, Edelweiss Air, Helvetic Airways, Jet2, Ryanair, Transavia, TUI Airways, Wizz Air. The airport's website shows only part of its airline list at a time, and these carriers were not in the part we saw. They stay out of the table until a later check confirms them.

Getting to the resort with your gear

Chamonix is about an hour from the terminal, Morzine and Les Gets a little more, and the Tarentaise resorts, Courchevel, Meribel and Val d'Isere, two and a half to three hours. Shared coaches run all winter and are the cheapest way down the valley, but they count luggage: the standard fare usually covers one hold bag, and a ski bag on top is a second item you declare and pay for. Reaching Chamonix by train means a change at Bellegarde or Saint-Gervais with your gear on the platform. A private transfer is priced per vehicle, so the bags cost nothing extra.
